St. Bernard Preparatory School

St. Bernard Preparatory School is a Catholic coeducational boarding and day school located on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey, a Benedictine monastery located in Cullman, Alabama. With an annual enrollment of around 135 students in grades 7-12, St. Bernard provides students a unique opportunity to try their hand in a number of extracurricular activities while keeping a focus on academic excellence. Each student attending St. Bernard strives to develop as a whole person in body, mind, and spirit. The grounds of the monastery provide a safe and supportive environment where students can develop into this whole person.

Having educated young persons since 1891, our monks know the value of a well-rounded education. Our students are very well prepared for college or university, and every one of our graduating students has been accepted into college. Our graduates are offered a large number of scholarships, totaling more than $2 million for each of the last 7 classes. When taken into account that our classes annually enroll around 30 students, these amounts are extraordinary. These scholarships are a testimony not only to our institution, but the fine students shaped by the program at St. Bernard.
