Ben Lippen School
Established in 1940, Ben Lippen is a college preparatory, evangelical Christian school with both day and boarding students. Ben Lippen is located in Columbia, the capital of the State of South Carolina. Columbia is a city of 500,000 inhabitants and is the home to five colleges/universities. Shopping malls are readily available. The Riverbanks Zoo located in Columbia was recently rated in the top 10 zoos in the nation.
The name of the school is derived from a Scottish phrase meaning “Mountain of Trust,” and is indicative of the significance of the responsibility assumed when teachers begin the task of educating young people. The resident program is an important aspect of Ben Lippen School. The potential for spiritual growth and emotional maturity is tremendous in an atmosphere of support, cooperation and mutual respect.
